ORIGINAL DESIGN AND MANUFACTURERS

Our SB.14 standard flow plate is a perfect solution for creating one way directional traffic. Suitable for entrances and exits of car parks and stopping drivers using roads for cut throughs,or where ever requires that one way traffic control.

The Surface Mounted Flow Plate (Patent No's 22385658, 22705338) has been designed to offer advantages over the sunken design. Firstly eliminating the problem of piercing roadway surfaces, no more digging holes as these simply bolt down to the surface providing an easy yet effective traffic control solution.

Another important advantage the SB.14 flow plate offers, unlike the sunken design is that they can now be installed on upper levels in multi-storey car parks, as the risk of damp membranes is substantially reduced. Our plates can also be installed on slope entrances and exits (Please see our recommendations)

Our premium design has been manufactured for over 25 years, you will not find another manufacturer who has made them longer than us, as our design was the FIRST and ORIGINAL. We do not cut corners on the quality of our SB.14's tested for over a million uses, our plates also come with a 24 month gaurantee !

1. Are the SB.14 Standard flow plates suitable for sports cars?
Yes, the SB.14 Standard plates are suitable for sports cars. We recommend using them alongside the SB.22 50mm Speed Ramp to ensure traffic is travelling at a safe speed. The flow plates control the direction of traffic not speed.

2. Can I lock the plates down for emergency vehicles?
Yes, the SB.14 Locking Bar can temporarily lock the plates to allow two-way traffic for emergency vehicles. This is a temporary measure only and should not be used as a permanent installation.

3. Are the SB.14 Standard plates suitable for SUVs, EVs, or HGVs?

  • Passenger vehicles under 1 tonne per axle: Standard SB.14 plates are suitable.

  • Heavier passenger vehicles (large SUVs, EVs) or HGVs: We recommend the SB.14 HGV Low Flap specification. This is designed to accommodate higher axle loads and unrestricted vehicle access, ensuring durability and performance.

4. Does installation layout affect performance?
Yes. We recommend a staggered installation layout rather than a straight line. Staggering the plates distributes vehicle loading more effectively, reducing wear and tear, especially for heavier vehicles. Proper layout helps maintain performance and extends the lifespan of your plates.

5. Can you review my site to advise on suitability?
Yes. If you can provide photos of your site and current installation, we can review them and provide guidance on the most suitable specification. This ensures you choose the correct plates for your vehicles and traffic frequency.

6. How many plates do I require?
Please refer to our SB.14 information sheet for guidance on quantity.

7. When should I choose the HGV specification?
Where there is any uncertainty about vehicle types, axle loads, or frequency of use, we recommend the SB.14 HGV Low Flap. This ensures safe use by heavier or unrestricted vehicles while protecting the performance and longevity of your installation.
