Heavy Duty Manual Access Gate

The SB18 manually operated access gate provides a straightforward and reliable way of controlling vehicle access without the cost and complexity associated with automated gate systems. With no electrical supply required for operation, it provides a practical solution for entrances where automated access control is not required.

The single leaf design consists of one gate panel supported from a heavy duty hinge post, providing a straightforward solution for securing vehicle entrances between 3m and 6m wide. Heavy duty adjustable galvanised eyebolts allow the gate position to be accurately aligned during installation.

Self Locking Gate Catch & Security 

Each heavy duty single leaf access gate is supplied with a self-locking gate catch as standard. When the gate is closed, the catch automatically engages to hold the gate securely in position.

The catch also incorporates a facility for a suitable padlock, allowing the gate to be locked securely when required. For additional protection, an optional lock shroud is available to help protect the padlock from direct access and interference.

Concrete-In or Bolt-Down Fixing

For the most secure and robust installation, we always recommend concrete-in gate posts where possible.

By setting the gate posts below ground level and securing them within concrete foundations, the gate benefits from a strong and permanent fixing method. For this reason, concrete-in is our preferred option for heavy duty access gate installations.

We understand, however, that some installations are onto existing concrete surfaces where customers may not want to break out and excavate the existing base. In these situations, bolt-down posts provide a practical alternative, allowing the gate to be installed onto a suitable concrete base without the need for excavation.

Whilst both options are available, we recommend concrete-in fixing wherever site conditions allow.

Latch Back Posts

Latch back posts allow the gate to be secured when fully open, helping to prevent it from swinging back into the accessway due to wind or movement.

Gate Finish Options 

The gate is available in several finish options:

- Galvanised: Provides durable corrosion protection.

- Powder Coated: Provides a coloured decorative finish.

- Galvanised & Powder Coated: Combines corrosion protection with a coloured finish.

Need a Wider Access Opening?

Single leaf gates are suitable for access widths between 3m and 6m. For wider entrances, our double leaf access gate is available in sizes between 5m and 11m.
